Senior Accountant

Job Purpose:

Applying IFRS principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures. This includes verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling account balances, in addition to producing error-free and timely accounting reports and presenting their results to the Management and Auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compiling and analyzing financial transactions and information to prepare and post entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
  • Establishing, maintaining, and coordinating the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  • Processing timely and accurate month-end closing, preparing cost accounting reports, and issuing financial statements.
  • Monitoring and reviewing accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Preparing statements of cash flows and bank balance reports on a regular basis and assessing operational liquidity needs.
  • Analyzing revenue and expenditure variance reports, recommending appropriate budget levels, and ensuring expenditure control.
  • Preparing P&L and Cash Flow forecasts.
  • Assisting in interaction with internal and external auditors to complete audits.
  • Preparing daily journal entries, posting journals, and maintaining accounting records.
  • Performing invoicing of services to both subsidiaries and/or customers, and following up on collections.
  • Handling all accounting modules including GL, AR, AP, Inventory, and Fixed Assets.
  • Substantiating financial transactions with supporting documentation and entering proper account and responsibility center/dimension coding as well as descriptive narrative information.
  • Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Assisting in the design, implementation, update, and maintenance of an efficient MIS reporting structure at group level.
  • Maintaining the Fixed Assets and associated depreciation schedules, providing monthly detail to the Finance Manager (FM) for General Journal entries, and ensuring the proper recording of new purchases and disposals.
  • Preparing the monthly pre-payments and accruals supported by proper documentation and ensuring that the monthly financial statements are issued as per agreed deadlines.
  • Working on daily bank reconciliations (through online banking systems) and issuing a monthly formal bank reconciliation report.
  • Preparing weekly bank position(s) and sharing them with the Finance Manager.
  • Summarizing current financial status by collecting information and preparing monthly balance sheets, profit and loss, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
  • Assisting in making effective use of the Odoo ERP software with a view to standardize processes, eliminate redundancy, integrate information across business units, and participate in the effort of establishing a system-based MIS reporting structure.
  • Preparing correspondence, filing labels, and maintaining files as needed within the department.
  • Assisting the Finance Manager (FM) with the payroll system and payroll-related items, tracking and maintaining company management agreements and insurance policies, and monitoring the transfer pricing agreements
  • Managing the petty cash account upon request and the employee credit card applications and charges.
  • Performing other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by the Finance Manager.

School Nurse

Job Purpose:

The School Nurse will be responsible for promoting the health and well-being of students, providing first aid and medical care, managing health records, and collaborating with school doctor and school staff to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the School Doctor in the development and implementation of health education programs for students, including topics like hygiene and wellness
  • Administering prescribed medications to students according to school policies and Doctor’s instructions
  • Maintaining accurate records of medication administration and communicating with parents/guardians as necessary
  • Ensuring medication storage and administration comply with legal regulations and school policies
  • Maintaining confidential and up-to-date health records for all students
  • Documenting health assessments, immunizations, and medical treatments accurately
  • Compiling and organizing health data to provide necessary reports to school and Ministry of Health as required
  • Responding promptly to medical emergencies within the school premises
  • Collaborating with school doctor, teachers, administrators, and parents to address students’ health and wellness needs
  • Communicating with parents/guardians regarding health concerns, vaccination requirements, and health education initiatives in coordination with School Doctor and School Director
  • Educating students on proper handwashing, dental care, and other health-related practices as needed
  • Attending and participating in school meetings as required

Kindergarten Teachers

Job Purpose:

Ensuring students’ success and helping them reach their full potential by implementing the SABIS® curriculum and philosophy and through the consistent use of the SABIS® teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a class using the provided lesson plans (may also be asked to develop such plans based on the provided pacing charts as relevant and needed) for their subject(s) in order to be able to teach using the SABIS® point system
  • Marking exams related to the taught subject in accordance with the schedule and material provided by the department
  • Discussing disciplinary and student performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and Head of Department (HOD) as needed
  • Implementing the SABIS® Point System to ensure an environment conducive to learning in the classroom
  • Proctoring exams as needed while ensuring an adequate and properly managed test environment
  • Providing support for the academically low-performing students through guidance and motivation to help them improve and reach their full potential
  • Developing and/or following up on external exams preparation by going through previous exams as planned in the structured revision schedule (when applicable to specific grade levels)
  • Aiding in duties that may include testing students, substituting for absent teachers, organizing students for lunches and buses, controlling traffic (vehicles and people), and other administrative duties as assigned by the school management
  • Preparing and participating in activity plans related to student life events such as but not limited to art, open houses, and physical education, in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator (SLC)

Teaching Assistants

Job Purpose:

Providing support and assistance to teachers inside and outside the classroom. Helping students understand and complete their assignments, while ensuring a safe, productive, and clean environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the teacher to monitor the class schedule
  • Keeping a record of children’s attendance and taking and delivering the attendance form from/to the office
  • Handling class displays, games, and visual material, including written or drawn bulletin boards aligned with class work and topics, in accordance with the teacher’s directions
  • Reinforcing class and school rules and students’ behaviors
  • Documenting students’ progress and communicating with the respective Academic Quality Controller (AQC) when needed
  • Filing notes into children’s reading folders and checking them every morning for new notes
  • Ensuring that the classroom is safe and clean
  • Supporting the class teacher during the lesson by keeping children focused and attentive
  • Assisting the teacher in the process of correcting children’s work
  • Preparing, supervising, and cleaning up after students’ snack or lunch time (wiping tables, washing cups and plates, helping kids get food from the counter, etc.)
  • Teaching students proper hygiene manners and helping them change their clothes in case of an accident.
  • Supervising outdoor play
  • Supervising nap or quiet time
  • Accompanying students to the class in the morning and assisting with Morning Care supervision
  • Listening actively to students and reading their word cards
  • Preparing material and utensils for art classes and cleaning up after every lesson

Job Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching using the provided lesson plans (may also be asked to develop such plans based on provided pacing charts as relevant and needed) for their subject(s) in order to be able to teach using the SABIS® point system.
  • Marking of exams related to their subject matter in accordance with the schedule and material provided by the department
  • Discussing disciplinary and student performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and head of department (HOD) as needed.
  • Implementing the SABIS® point system to ensure an environment conducive to learning in the classroom.
  • Providing support by invigilating exams as needed in an adequate and properly managed exam environment
  • Providing support for the academically low performing students, to help improve and get motivated to reach their potential
  • Develop and/or follow external exams preparation by going through past papers as planned in the structured revision schedule (When applicable to specific grade)
  • Aiding in duties that may include testing children, substituting for absent teachers, organizing children for lunches and buses, controlling traffic (vehicles and people), and other administrative duties that may be assigned to him/her by the school SABIS® management
  • Preparing and participating in activity plans for all such student life related events such as but not limited to art, open house and physical education in coordination with the student life coordinator
  • Attending training sessions when needed and as per the request of school management in order to enhance their understanding of the SABIS® system improving their performance
  • Performing such other related tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by the school SABIS® management.

Marketing Manager

Job Purpose:

Conceiving and developing efficient and intuitive marketing strategies that can make a difference for SABIS® success according to the latest trends and the customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing innovative marketing campaigns and promotional strategies, involving a combination of aspects from advertising, public relations, campaign planning, events management, and market research.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness, and competition ventures.
  • Maintaining relationships with media vendors, publishers, and suppliers to ensure collaboration in promotional activities.
  • Monitoring progress of campaigns using various metrics and submitting reports of performance.
  • Implementing the marketing strategy in accordance with the overall company goals and vision.
  • Acting as a vital force in the creation and distribution of all varieties of marketing materials.

Ideal Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent
  • Brand Management is a plus
